Happy Easter from Senior Infants!

We had a busy term in Senior Infants. Here are some of the things we enjoyed doing:

Each Monday we listened to stories about Mr. Teddy’s adventures as he visited different people’s houses. On Friday there is always excitement as we wait to see whose home he will be going to. He even went to Lego land and took his first flight this term!

We learned about how to always Stay Safe and completed our Stay Safe booklets. We also wrote our own books this term which we are so proud of. Some of us love creative writing so much that we can’t stop!

We worked at gymnastics and dancing for PE.

We really enjoyed learning about endangered animals this term as well as about the Chinese New Year.

We love singing as much and as often as possible! We are able to sing at the same time in two groups and we are even able to waltz to a rhythm while we sing.

We went for a Spring Walk and noticed how the weather and things in nature change at this time of year.

We love recycling and checking to see if the lights are off in the classroom but this term we encouraged our parents to make some carbon reducing pledges. They were so good at it that we won the prize organised by the Green schools committee so we got to make our own pizzas in Milano restaurant!!! Yum!

We got some new Maths games for the class and played them together during morning activity time.

We made beautiful cards for our mums for Mother’s Day and wrote special messages on them.

For “Seachtain na Gaeilge” bhí na páistí ag léamh, ag canadh, ag damhsa agus ag imirt cluichí trí Ghaeilge.

We are always practising good manners whenever we get the chance and try to be nice to everyone at play time.

Farmer Anne came to visit last week and we met Séamus the lamb and her 2 lovely hens. This week we learned about taking care of animals and had a visit from a Giant African Land Snail!

We wish everyone a very happy Easter!
