1st Term Newsletter — Rang a Trí

3

Dia daoibh ó rang a trí. Tá téarma a h1 buailte linn anois.

We have had a great time in rang a trí so far. Here are some of the things we have been up to:

This year was our last year doing forest schools. We are sad that it’s over but we really enjoyed it. In the forest we used tools, we explored the maze, we made fairy houses, we built rafts and we designed a forest school logo.

Next year will be the 100 year anniversary of the 1916 rising. We researched the rising and the people involved. The army visited and gave us an Irish flag and a copy of the proclamation.

We have been working very hard this year. We have had Ms. Halpin’s maths groups and learned about division, multiplication and decimals for the first time. We have learned how to stay safe on the internet and about the refugee crisis.

Recently, we went to Rathmines library and took part in a Christmas themed quiz. We also enjoyed walks to investigate the canal and we celebrated World Tree day in Ranelagh Gardens, we even met Mr. Perera’s mum!

It’s been a fun-filled term, we particularly enjoyed our whole school Halloween parade around Ranelagh and The Early Early Toy Show we held in the class.

We have worked hard and are all looking forward to a well deserved break! We hope Santa comes because we’ve all been very good!
