Junior Infants Christmas Report
Hello from everyone in Junior Infants !
We’ve been busy settling in this term and it’s safe to say ( in case Santa is reading this) that everybody in the class is well able for ‘Big School’ by now and pays great attention when we have to do our work ! We’re also really good at playing and sharing too !
We’ve made new friends in our class and have gotten to know our buddies from Rang 6 more and more each week.
We’ve taken little trips to both Mount Pleasant square and park area for our autumn nature walk and to Rathmines, to the library . We love exploring our area to see what’s around us.
Darcy’s Mum Jane and Hugo’s Mum Sarah came in on Wednesdays to help us at art time . When we finished our paintings all we had to do was clean up a little and then go to the hall to have a picnic lunch while they helped tidy up the rest. We’d like to say a big “Go raibh mile maith agat” to both for their help!
The time is flying by and only the other day we tried an experiment to see what would happen. Ms. Halpin had told us about a festival call Saint Nicholas which takes place in countries such as Germany, Holland and Poland . Children put their shoes outside their door when they go to bed on December 5th and in the morning on the 6th they find surprises in their shoes ! We left our shoes outside the classroom and after small break we checked our shoes to find a mandarin orange and a chocolate santa in each pair of shoes ! It certainly caused a lot of excitement and it made us wonder !??
We’re practicing hard for our Christmas show and we hope that all our Mums and Dads and family will enjoy our songs!
Happy Christmas from everyone in Junior Infants!
