The Christmas break marks the end of what has been a very successful first term in Senior Infants!

We have learned many exciting new things so far this year. We have read many interesting stories and have loved reading on our own at the library corner. We also learned about Maths stories! We learned the stories of 5, 6, 7 and 8 and even found out all the different ways of making these numbers using pegs and hangers!

Is maith linn an Ghaeilge! Bhaineamar taiteamh as na cluichí biongó, amhranaí Gaeilge agus drámaíocht bunaithe ar scéalta Gaeilge: Cochaillín Dearg agus Na Trí Mhuicín.
We loved making our own timelines for history and looking at (and playing with!) the toys we’ve played with at different ages. For science, our favourite investigation was looking at, and comparing, the materials the little pigs’ houses were built from.
We really enjoyed our trips outside the school, looking at different types of houses in Ranelagh, the signs of autumn and playing safely in the playground. Our most recent trip was probably our favourite. We took the LUAS to Dundrum and went to see ‘Riding Hood’s Dangerous Christmas Adventure’. It was fantastic to see Sarah D’s dad acting in it and even better to see Santa! Santa said we’ve all been very good this year and Mr. Perera, Ms. Curran and Anne all agree!
At the moment we are working hard to create our very own ‘Perahera’ for the Christmas play.

We all chose what we wanted to be and even created the dances ourselves! We are looking forward to showing it to our Mums and Dads.

Nollaig Shona daoibh go léir ó Senior Infants!
